Feeling Special/Gifted, Yet Feeling Hopeless

Have you come to the point in life where you feel you have this special "something" or gifting on the inside but have no outlet to convey it or see no way in sight to profit from it?

It is an exasperating feeling to work an unfulfilling job that you hate or to have arrested development. What's worse is when people feel they have no special "something" about them at all.

First I'll address those who feel void of a gifting at all: I Corinthians 7:7 states ...But each has his own special gift from God, one of this kind and one of another. Read it twice if you have to! We all have a God given gift so don't let the "haters" and jealous ones rob you of your confidence which is vital to success!

For those of you who simply feel you're at a dead-end I say this, "Change your outlook and start leaning on the grace of God!" God's grace equals favor, advantageous help, preference, and spiritual blessings, all of which none of you've worked for. Think about it, dreams are usually lofty goals. Even our dreams during sleep usually consist of impossible feats and circumstances. So I've concluded that the components of  God's grace are needed to achieve a DREAM henceforth employing your SPECIAL gift. And guess what... When you have obstacles to hurdle God says His grace is sufficient (II Cor. 12:9).

The passage of scripture that I really want you to meditate on is Isaiah 55:8-11. It reads:
  1. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
      declares the LORD.
  2. As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
  3. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
  4. so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Verse 8 in layman's terms is: Get out of your own head! Your common logic will hinder you from seeing the impossible as possible. Your way of doing things has caused you to grow weary and stagnate. Try God's way! It just may require you to use a small stone and a sling to kill a fully armored 10ft giant that figuratively represents the impedance to you utilizing your gift and achieving your dreams.

Verse 11 is awesome because when we remember what was mentioned earlier about each of us having a gift, and cross reference it with this verse then we can celebrate and have hope. God has something to say about each and every one of us. Just be patient and ready to receive because in Jeremiah 29:11 God tells us He has plans for us and they are to PROSPER US and NOT to HARM US, plans to give us HOPE and a FUTURE. And if His Words don't return to Him empty but accomplishes that which He pleases and purposes, and SHALL PROSPER IN THE THING FOR WHICH HE SENT IT (as stated in the amplified bible), then WOW, there is now hope!! So pick yourself up...Your future is looking brighter....SO BE IT!!!

Reminds me of a song...."I heard he had a good sound and so I came to listen for awhile." I think I'll come back and "listen" again sometime soon. Good stuff young man.
